Hey Y'all-
Thank you, thank you, thank you AGAIN for being INCREDIBLE. We couldn't do any of this without your enthusiastic support.
Got some quick updates for you.
- We're closing in on triple digit backers. We're sitting at 92. Once we hit 100 I have another surprise in store. Here's a hint: more bonus goodies for all our amazing supporters. This Milestone 100 Bonus is very special to me, so I hope we hit it today or tomorrow. Fingers Crossed.
- Stretch Goal #3 (a bonus signed limited edition Bookmark) is within sight. Only a few hundred bucks away. Rad.
- And I've got two interviews coming up. One with author Chris Brimmage and the second with my good friend, the Comic Maven herself, Nicole D'Andria, over on Comic Frontline. It will be my second feature with their ongoing series 'Kickstart the Week'. Last year, I went in-depth about cracking the code and creating my first comic. This time around I'm looking forward to sharing my thoughts on tackling issue #2 and growing as a writer and creator. Keep an eye out for that. I just finished watching For All Mankind on Apple+ and loved it. Looking forward to another Sci-Fi epic, Heavens Decoded, from Greg K. Moquin and Orion Zulu. Their campaign is creeping ever so close to that 100 backer mark as well. Lets help them reach that special milestone too.
Here's the pitch: It's 2023. An archaeologist is being escorted to Mars to analyze alien symbols when their ship makes a shocking discovery.

And lastly, here's another Sci-fi gem. A little more light hearted. It looks beautiful.
It's a slick, witty look into the mind of a clever and often amoral con-man as he navigates the social strata of a luxury space cruiseship.
Confidence Volume One is a 30 page full color comic that follows loveable charlatan Allen on his adventures aboard the luxury star cruiser Iridescence. Allen is a man of many talents, but he excels at knowing what people want or need, and knowing how to get it - mostly through lying and flattery.

Hey Everyone!
Wow. You guys are just crushing these Stretch Goals. Our $4K Stretch Goal #1 (Comic Book Deluxe Upgrade) was surpassed yesterday morning. And I promised you something cool for our second Stretch Goal at $4,500. It's a sweet mini coloring book pdf, and last night you nabbed that one as well. I really need to space these Stretch Goals out a little more - Ha! No, screw that. Lets keep this party going with more cool bonuses for all our amazing backers.
Next up, our $5K Stretch Goal #3 - Signed Limited Edition TFT Issue #2 Bookmarks for all our physical backers.
It's funny, my neighbor's kid is really psyched about this bookmark. He still has his beat up one from the last Kickstarter. He wants 20 of these bookmarks. He says he's gonna sell them on Ebay and make a fortune - Ha! Man, kids are funny these days.

Other Cool Stuff on Kickstarter:
The first one is Buddy! "Milo & Otis meets The Exorcist". This one reminds me a lot of Turner Family Terrors - sweet, scary, funny, demented. In this comic Buddy must summon the courage to protect his clueless humans from a sudden onslaught of devilish beasts Hellbent on World domination! I can't wait to read it.
Next up is the latest GORILLA MY DREAMS: THE SHEEP FROM THE GHOST . I love a good Black and White comic and this might be the best one on Kickstarter right now. As one reviewer said "It's like a black and white Hellboy but with 300% more puns". Super fun. Check it out.
And last but not least - The Damsel is back! Damsel from D.I.S.T.R.E.S.S Issues 1-3! In this comic a hotshot secret agent battles the ghosts of her past! It's D&D meets the man from U.N.C.L.E! I just love the artwork and the story's another fun romp similar to TFT. Go back this baby.

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there! In my house we'll be celebrating with breakfast tacos, margarita's, and plenty of family time. Looking forward to it.
Positive News. It's two weeks after my second Pfizer dose, so I woke up today fully vaccinated. I'm feeling good and ready for a new, better normal to start kicking in around these parts.
And thanks to you guys our Kickstarter is smashing all kinds of records for TFT. We reached our funding goal in 2 1/2 days - a record for the comic. We had the most backers ever after only 2 days! More awesome backers in 2 days than our entire 30 day campaign last year - amazing. Let's keep this momentum going.
A Big Week Ahead - 1 Stretch Goal to Crush and 2 Milestones to hit.
We are $123 away from unlocking our first Stretch Goal: super-sizing the print and digital editions of TFT #2. Once we cross $4K, we'll unlock the next bonus at the $4,500 marker. Super excited about this next one - big reveal next week.

Stretch Goals Unleashed!

Hey Guys-
We funded our comic in 2 1/2 days. Incredible. We've got 26 days left. Now what? Well, there's a lot actually. We've got a whole bunch of mysterious Stretch Goals to unlock, a few more fantastical backer tiers to introduce, and some unexpected surprises in store along the way. So in other words - its time to party!
First up - We are launching our Stretch Goal Campaign!
Our first stretch goal unlocks at $4,000 - creating our Comic's Dream Edition. We'll be upgrading our book to the greatest conceivable Issue #2 comic I could possibly dream up: improving the paper stock (interior and cover) for our print edition, and super-sizing our digital copy - adding our variant cover, pin-up illustrations and more behind-the-scenes goodies.
As of now we are only $505 away from reaching that goal. Can we make it happen? I hope so, because at $4.5K we'll unlock another bonus that I'm super excited to share with ya. We'll have the big reveal on that one soon I hope.

SPIDER-SQUIRREL #1 is a 40-page, Teen+ rated comic book produced with a light-hearted script, incredibly dynamic art, and some really fun characters. It’s classic superhero comics and even some of the stereotypical tropes that comes with them.

I want to quickly mention 2 projects that I recently backed.
One is Lampblack #1 and it ends today at noon (PST). Our Variant artist Joel Saavedra is the letterer for this issue. So, knowing how talented Joel is as an artist, I imagine this book will have the most beautiful letters I have even seen, not to mention the rest of the art. You can check out the book here.
The second is Mandrill P.I. by my buddy Christopher Brimmage. Mandrill, P.I. is his love letter to two of Chris's favorite pieces of nostalgia: Looney Tunes and hardboiled detective stories. He just launched on Kickstarter and is killing it. So happy for the dude. You can check it out here.
